But, I thought I was through with my mods to my SSR when I had it pin striped, and had the side windows tinted.
I'd like to know if there are any companies that make a yellow dash kit for the truck, or custom grill inserts, (to make the grill slats look all silver, or chrome), AND if there's anyone making custom floor mats, or license plate frames, for the SSR? :confused
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Sam. Are your floor mats plain gray? You can order mats with the SSR logo on them through GM and you can find a few accessories on their site too. We had the bowties in the center of our wheels and CHEVROLET in the front grill painted gold like the larger bowties and it looks great. I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for but you can find SSR lisence plate frames on ebay. I don't know about a colored dash kit but I've been thinking about having some kind of badge made for the red area between the seats, like the first 25 purple ones had, it seems rather empty with nothing there. Do a site search for the WindSupreSSR and the chrome engine cover, I think you'll like them!

Check with AXIOM, he's on this site regularly and has a line of SSR products including the grille bars/// check em out looks like real nice stuff !!! :yesnod
I'd be interested in the silver grille bars as well. :yesnod I'd rather not have to have my bars painted (or whatever it takes) vs new ones of silver color. They look outstanding :agree

Peace :flag

Hi Sam. I don't know about a kit for the grill bars, we didn't have ours painted, just the CHEVROLET lettering and hash marks at each end in the piece on the edge of the hood and the chevy bowties in the center caps of the wheels. They match the gold color of the larger bowtie on the front grill. As far as I know there's no kit for that but you can have it done at a body shop or do it yourself, just be prepared for a lot of taping! We also got the domed decals for the door sills and tailgate (you can find them on ebay) and we'll probably be getting an emblem for under the hood at some point.

Does AXIOM have a web site, and does anyone know the part # for the SSR logo between the seats on the first 25 purple ones?
Now that you mentioned them I've GOT to have them! :banghead

Hopefully when you get enough request you can make a batch of painted ones. It would be too difficult to get them painted.
I did order a SSR logo (like the one on the tailgate), and I'm going to put it on the painted area between the seats. :D
I've also been looking at dash kits, but I really wanted yellow, may have to go with the "satin silver". The company that makes the best ones seem to offer 3 choices.
(1). Too little.
(2). Too much.
(3). The radio surround for $140.00?????????
:eek
Most of their other kits include a couple of choices for the radio at no extra charge.

The local Chevy dealer quoted me $35.00 for the SS, and $35,00 for the R. I'm going to mount them high up on the color console. Should look good, especially with the top down. :thumbs
I just ordered a satin silver dash kit too! :D

the color console: I believe that in the SSR and the Vette - this is referred to as the 'waterfall'...

I've seen some graphics painted onto the waterfall - looks pretty good - lets see sme photos when you're done...

Good to know it's the "waterfall" that sounds better! :)
I put the emblems on today, and had to mount them almost flat against the top of the waterfall.
I asked one of the guys in the service department if he thought it looked good, and he said, "Yeah, if your looking above from a helicopter!". :skep
Oh well, I LIKE it! :) And I'll wait until I have my dash kit, to post some pictures.

I mounted my "One-Hand" CB Radio (used for emergency's & RunRuns...(Thats my spare tire)) control box inside/under the removable center piece that runs between the seat backs and head rests.... the whole piece just lifts off. no screws, just clips... You might pop it off for pin stripping or painting...I hid the antenna in the convertible top compartment... 2003 Asphalt Black 2003 SSR#475...I Drive mine every day....... I can't help it!!
