Fuel

Not that this will help any......but

I've had the instant fuel monitor on my SSR read 1MPG when I've stomped the pedal from a dead stop going up hill and I've had it read 99MPG when coasting down a mountain side at 75MPH.

I average 18.2 MPH which includes 2 mile drive to work, jack rabbit starts when I'm first at a light, and many 40 mile trips at 75MPH. :)

PS.... Welcome to the group!!!! :seeya :seeya :seeya

If you go through the posts you will find mileage fro about 18-22 MPG on the highway depending on speed.
Around town will be less and what you get is dependant on how heavy your foot is....

milage

On a 1200 mile trip last summer I averaged 22.3 mpg, thats setting the trip tip when I left home keeping track of gallons perchased and dividing out on the last fillup. Which was very close to the DIC at 22.6.
Wellcome Holland :seeya

Oooooo by the way...the average that was mentioned above is for the 2004 5,3 l. Pesos is doing with his 2005 6l 15 mpg so i can forget the extra beers I geuss.

In my experience fuel consumption is directly related to the weight of my foot or the strength in my wrist depending on what vehicle I'm driving, but the numbers on the SSR sticker are pretty close to reality under ?normal? conditions. I only wish I knew how to drive that way.

Fuel Consumption

Hello SSR fans,

well the fuel consumption does for sure matter in Europe as the gas
price today is 1,20 Euro per litre which makes 95 cents a quart
and you end up $ 3,67 per gallon. And this is just the gas.

Road tax here in Germany is $ 460 per year, depending on the
exhaust emission standard. For the SSR 2003 it is Euro 3, so they
charge $ 8,50 per 100 cc .

In Holland I know gas prices have been higher for years already,
they pay something like $ 5,69 a gallon. Is that correct Frank.
But the traffic is still moving and getting worse.

Regards from Germany

Fuel Consumption

Hello,
it is me once more. I somehow made a mistake in my calculation
from Euro to the Dollar, and liter to gallon.

1 Liter is 1,20 Euro which is for the 91 octane (premium)

1,20 x 1,26 $ / Euro makes 1,51 $ per liter

and a gallon is 3,85 liters, so that would be 5,81 $/gal !!! here in Germany.

In Holland 1,40 Euro/l multiplied by 1,26 $/Euro multiplied by 3,85 l / gal
makes 6,79 $ / gal .
