Yesterday my check engine light came on after checking code it showed fuel level sensor gas gage went to empty and i just filled it up now today everything is back to normal with one exception cruise light comes on momentary and gas gage drops to E and back up to full any advice on what may be happening?

Fuel level sensor. Burn off some fuel and it will likely start working again. (my 05 is doing the same thing) Known GM problem. If you decide to fix it, I would put a fuel pump in the tank at the same time, as it is only a matter of time and it will go as well.

Sounds like that pesky class 2 data network. Maybe the comb is getting loose?

Mine did the same thing, replaced the fuel pump but there is a plug and play sensor for $18. The cost for the new pump and repair was $675. When mine went the low fuel indicator came on when it went empty but I also got the check engine light.
