gauges

Hi ARW
Go to gmpartsdirect.com they have color coded ones$361 Satin silver for a little cheaper $260 I think. Click on upgrades to see them. I'm going to get them to but not on top of my list.

Alan, I just got a set of Gauges from my dealer for $248.95 Plus tax. He wanted $75.00 to install them. I think I will try to install myself. I guest if you are not careful you could short them out.

Why pay that price whene you can go to a dealer and get them cheaper with a warranty.
Hey Mason Is that price for colored or silver?

Thank You
Paul
Paul, That is for the sliver. Not sure but I don't think you can get the colored for the 04.
04s Come only in one color!

Thats correct... the 04 guages come ONLY in the orginal silver finish.

You might be able to paint them if you were to take them to your favorite painter... however then they wouldn't be orginal for your MY.

my .02 :)

I have just the guages. No pod. For the 03-04 SSr

$50.? really have no Idea. you do know the 3 guages are on one circuit board.
+ shipping.
Bob,

I installed the gauges on my 03 a couple of weeks ago. $268 from gmpartsdirect.

I purchased them hoping I could take out the rather useless GPH gauge and replace it with the Dakota Digital tire pressure sensor gauge. I will still have a closer look to see if the Dakota digital might be shallower and not intefere with the pre-wired circuit board the gauges are mounted on - I would say gauges by themselves could not function, and I'm not sure you can buy the plastic pod by itself.

I tried that so I could put my own gauges in it, but could not come up with a part number on gmpartsdirect, or at the dealer. The parts sheets I purchased don't show the pod at all.

How well I know. I was just going to put a boost guage in the 03 for the supuer charger. So I replaced all the guages with autometer guages. they had some with the brushed alum bezle. the only thing different was the needle being red/orange instead or the silver color of the factories. That way they all matched and why I have the guages with no pod. :ssr :flag :seeya

Got mine on e-bay, brushed chrome, for 215, just as a reference point.
Gauges

I ordered mine for my 04 10 days ago from gmparts direct and they have not been sent yet . :mad
Gauges

I order my Gauge Pod for my 04 om May 3rd. They have not shipped yet. They are listed as "Order Status - special order" when I check the status of my order on GM Parts Directs' web page.

The total price is $268.35.

I believe Ebay buyers are overpaying for 04 gauges because they are confusing 03/04 gauges with 05 gauges. The 05 gauges are more costly.

An unknowledgable Ebay buyer and/or seller is a costly combination.
I ordered a set of gauges from my local dealer Wednesday. I'll post when they come in. That should give you an idea of what's going on with gmpartsdirect.com
I got my new needles!

:thumbs Thank You All !

I called my local GM dealer and gave them the last 8 of my VIN and for $267.00 we have them. Installing them are so simple and fun.

I hope I can help all the great SSR owners as much as all of you have helped me.

I got mine from the Dealer as well for $250, ask if they whole sell parts at the parts counter. Or if the have club discounts. Install was a snap, hardest part was trimmin ghte caprpet pad under where they go, took 30 min from start to finish with simple hand tools.
