Just got a brochure in the mail today that was sent to all GM Card holders. GM will "up" your card earnings to $2,000 no matter what your actual card earnings really are. I had accrued about $300 and it is now $2,000. They will add an additional $3,000 to your earnings towards the purchase of a 2004 SSR, a 2004 Pontiac GTO, or a 2004 Cadillac SRX V8. I heard a local Chevy dealer advertising on the radio that he had 2 , 2004 SSR's for sale for $35,000 each. When you apply this $5,000 GM Card Bonus Earnings to that $35,000 price it means you can purchase a new, 2004, Chevy SSR for $30,000. That's great for a buyer but it sure does lower the resale value for us owners who paid $45,000 or more this time last year. $30,000 for a new SSR seems like one-hell-of-a-deal to me!
