One more update, found out that computer controlled things don't always act the way you think. Example, the LED lights come on when you open the doors, but do NOT come on when you press the light switch on the mirror! Interesting.
**The wire you tapped to power the LEDs is a +12 volts with the lights mounted to ground, this is also one way that the mirror lights work with the door.
**The mirror lights are also connected to a constant +12 volts. When you press the button on the mirror it connects the light to ground and disconnects the power from the door switch, to make it work when the doors are closed.
