It was built Yesterday and completed. According to GM's customer service, I should get it next week. Before Thanks Giving would be great. I'd drive it to the in-laws to show off...

1740

My VIN is 1740. Should be at the dealership (Karl Tyler - Missoula MT) on 11/28 - or so.

Slingshot Yellow - all options.

(An eBay seller said that only 100 2003's will be yellow - and only 20 of those will be full up!)

Does anybody know if only 100 Yellow SSR's have been ordered. In checking gmbuypower.com - Yellow is the minority - I just don't know if that figure is valid...

GM delivered approximately 930 trucks in October, according to their info. I would assume they can do the same numbers every month.

Projections are for 12000+ units for 04, so those numbers seem to make sense.

Don't get taken in by dealers or EBay sellers trying to bend you over - the initial insanity will be over with fairly quickly. I've been tracking the SSRs sold on Ebay.

There are about 35 available today, and so far, I've tracked about 80 that have come and gone. The ones with reserves over 50000 are not getting any bids. Bidding on those with reserves is stopping in the 49000 range - highest was 51490, lowest was 46000.

The recent sales were at 49258, 49100, 50000, 50000. Two signatures sold this week - one at 74000, the other at 72022.

Yellow

I wouldnt think that 100 yellows is correct. I saw 3 on a transport going toward Austin Texas about a week ago. Also, look on Ebay....lots of yellow there. Also, there were some great photos at the plant about a month ago that showed all colors awaiting final inspection and shipping. You can go to GM buypower and put in various zip codes around the country and there are several yellows in stock at dealerships with ID numbers to prove it. I have a yellow coming too (lol, hopefully) and 100 would be wonderful. Also, seems almost everyone is ordering the 1SB. You cant hardly find a 1SA out there. Check Ebay and check GM buypower for 1SA's. Mine is a !SA.....but then again I didnt want to pay $1900 for a 6CD and heated seats. I dont think a !SA is worth more, but it definitely isnt worth less. I dont think the buyers even care which it is. When you go to sel, now or later, the options wont make a bit of difference in my opinion. They are nice to have but Im conservative I guess. Good luck to everybody. Cheers!

YELLOW

:) :) :)

Unlike the Corvette which has a 10% limit of production for millennium yellow, there is no constraint for SSR yellow.( actually slingshot yellow is millennium yellow - 79U)

The production of yellow to date is less that 10%. That makes a yellow one a bit rare for 2003. Even more rare is the 1SA combo and yellow.

......Just what was delivered to my dealer today at 4:00 pm.......

It was completed on 11/13 @ 11:00 am. After the QC check the dealer got a rush delivery.

After the inspection, cleaning and double polish treatment I will pick it up on Saturday.

The weather in the Northeast is looking good for the weekend, I feel the need to cruise!!!!!

I also have an appointment with a specialist to explore the installation of side pipes with cut outs. This will give a little better power and negate the need for Running Boards.
