I received my copy of the SSR AN AMERICAN ORIGINAL on January 6th (Epiphany!) and read it cover to cover in 36 hours...had to sleep and work! I received a call last night from a working engineer at the Lansing Craft Centre inquiring if I had any questions or complaints about my '05. What a neat conversation! I mentioned that the book stated that the one button top raising process resulted in the side windows being raised, however that wasn't my experirence since I felt the process was completed when the 2 chimes sounded. He stated that the book was correct...that to hold the button for raising for a 3 second delay after the second chime sounds and the windows will close! COOL! He was very friendly and not a gladhander just going through the motions. It impressed me that GM does care about the SSR and their customer satisfaction. I also told him that the J.D. Power survey came last week for my SSR and I had no discrepancies to note upon filling it out! Cleavermodels :)

The windows go up too? Hold on, I'm running out to the garage for a second. Be right back.......

When the top is all the way up just keep holding the button and the windows will close. :thumbs

A good use for a hold Button

I found that out one day when I accidently held down for a few seconds more on the button... neat feature indeed.

Houtex, the salesman thing reminded me....

It's the ONLY thing the salesman showed me when I bought the car that he actually knew anything about.
of the first time he showed me the tonneau cover being opened. When done he tried to push the cover down to close it. I said to him "You have to push harder". After two more attempts, I was ready to split a gut, when a tech from the garage told him he had open the rear deck then close it. If looks could kill I'd be in the morgue that afternoon. :lol

The center console on mine was locked - couldn't open it. Keys were in the glove box. He told me there was no center console storage.
