I have noticed on about three different occasions that while in cruise control for an extended period (say an hour) that when i go to hit the brake it feels like there aren't any for just a second and my heart almost fails. Then everything is okay. of course when this happens, i slowly test the brakes for awhile just to make sure. It simply feels like the pedal is going to the floor and has no tension. Then all is fine.

I have noticed more pedal travel than usual after hitting a series of small bumps and not using the breaks for a period of time. I think the calipers may be moving around and forcing the pads away from the rotor slightly, which then requires the extra pedal travel to bring them back into contact. I have never noticed this before on a street car, but it is fairly common with our off road cars.
I don't think there is too big of a problem (like air in the brake lines) since the pedal is usually where it should be and the brakes work well normaly, but that extra pedal travel does get your attention when it happens.
