Just curious, why do you want heated seats in the warmer states? Here in Michigan I have my SSR in storage for the winter months. So I could care less about heated seats! :confused PS-- We got 6 inches of snow here last night!

Here in California's Central Valley, I doubt anyone would order a car with heated seats if it wasn't part of a package deal.

I wouldn't. But the last three days have been below freezing with record lows, I'm beginning to warm up to them. :)

It was 32 degrees this morning in the foothills outside of Sacramento! I use my heated seats about 3 or 4 months out of the year, usually just in the morning or at night as the temp dips.

i used the heated seats in my m3 convertible year round. even in northern california, it's chilly at night or in the morning, and as long as it wasn't raining i had the top down. with heated seats and the windbreak, it was always a pleasant ride.

Heated Seats are WONDERFUL

If you have a lower back problem, the heated seats are a "must have" as they help keep your back relaxed.....

Ask yourself why a vehicle at this price point does not have them as standard equipment and what the incremental cost of installing them should be.... about $10 for the mat on each side and the switches....... not much.... and it would further streamline the production process.

warm butts

I thought this was the post for 2005 last production year? but.... heated seats it is...

Even here in Palm Springs, it does gets down there in the freezing temps at night.
So with top down, windsuppressr on your back and heated gluteus you are all set to star gaze while cruzin down the desert hwy.

As far as the last year of production I would like our new moderators comments. Earlier threads mentioned some layoffs during the holidays but nothing about the end of production.

Heated seats

Don't know which split this belongs in, but dealer called and said my replacement seat heater switch is in. Now - if I could just get my butt in the truck I'd take it over and get it fixed. Seat heaters that come on spontaneously in the middle of Texas August are not good.

It was in the fifties today and after leaving the body shop having some fun painting I went for a cruise with my wife. Had a blast. Those heated seats definately make a pleasant difference when it is cold but the sun is shining down! Getting closer to doing my ride...more soon... :jester
