Hi, as from the title, I'm a Brit who has been driving American Cars and trucks since I was 21, and 63 now so 42 years of American V8s and now looking to get my 1st SSR, I've had a Supercharged Silverado SS, Z71s C10S, Blazers, Camaros, etc, I've even owned fords and Mopar but not for long, I'm a Chevy man at heart.. I've always wanted a SSR and as we will be buying a new house soon, where I can have my dream Garage built for my eclectic car/truck collection, Looking for my SSR .
No doubt I'll be asking questions about how to etc..
I've decided on Red and a 6.0 , and might add supercharger as I do love the sound, but it will depend on how quick the 6.0 is without.
My wife tells me men don't grow up, their toys just get more expensive, and yeah i resemble that statement lol.
Looking forward to chatting with you all, It's been too long since I've been stateside so a truck buying road trip sound good. Eamonn
Welcome from northern Sweden! You'll probably have no success in finding a right hand drive... ;-)

Wife sounds like one smart cookie.
'Course it is an obvious trait in most guys.

Welcome to SSR Fanatics from SoCal.
Hope your visit stateside is productive.

Bought my 05 Blur in 2014.
It came with a Magnuson supercharger, so I can't tell you the difference between with or without.
Dyno says I get 410hp @the wheels.
I just know it's pretty quick WITH and a lot of fun.

HUAW isn't exaggerating about the "PermaGrin".
If it had more seats, I wouldn't drive anything else!

It's pretty awesome that you have appreciated American muscle cars through the years! Now you will be finding out what we mean by having a "PermaGrin" once you find that red 06 that you're looking for! Like others have said, once you find one it's likely that you will be able to locate a Fanatic nearby to put his eyes on it first before you make the trip! Best of Luck! 😉🇺🇸😎
lol yep my Dad always had British and German V8s when I was young but didn't like LHD, he had one of his Rover V8s being rebuilt by an American specialist back in the 70s when i got my first ride in an American car, and I was Sold, and got my first American car in 1977 and have owned at least 1 ever since . and yes "PermaGrin" 40 pls years and love it when filling up gas tank and folks say how many miles to the gallon and i reply its about smiles per mile not Miles per gallon,. and good idea to ask for Fanatic to check em out before flying over thanks for the tip

Welcome from the Show Me state of Missouri. Also check cars-online.com. Go to the search section, put in Chevrolet, then Truck, then year. Last time I looked, there were a few red ones. I think one in Louisiana had low miles at a decent price.
Good Luck and safe travels!

I think Mike at Simple Engineering is working on a modification kit to make it riight-hand drive for the SSR.
There is information on this site somewhere which describes what it took to do that in Australia and I a pretty sure that @Mike in AZ is not goin' there any time soon.
