Hitch ball rod and wiring

I bought my new SSR about a month ago. Its a 2004 red one. I was putting the rear licence plat on and noticed it has a hidden reciever. I can't find the ball rod and wiring. Must one purchase the parts or are they supposed to be included? The window sticker states: trailer hitch and wiring; as standard equipment.

gmpartsdirect price is $247.92.

$295.00 is the GM parts dept. retail price. gmpartsdirect.com has part #15110022 for $247.92, plus $7.95 shipping & handling, for a total of $255.87. No sales tax unless you live in N.C. I've ordered several items through them and had good luck with my orders.
