My dealer talked to GM they could not tell him why my order was pushed back from 9-1 to 10-27. He thinks it may be the red exterior. I don't believe the red color may be the problem. I am getting a little mad. I'd like to call GM and confirm myself. It seems tome that they may not be giving the first order to me for what ever reason. I've been very nice and patient so far but I don't want to be taken advantage of. If there is a ligitimate delay, OK. But I have a contract that says I get the first one.

Any help from the forum? What can I do to insure that they are not giving me the run around?

not accepting any orders on SSR at this time

:cry

On June 30 an order was placed for a Redline red SSR

with a major Chevrolet dealer. Monday August 25

I received my deposit check in the mail with a letter

stating that they are not accepting any orders for

the SSR at this time. I was # 2.

Sorry to say, there is nothing you can do my friend!

You see, just like the PT Cruisers, these are INDEPENDENT dealers. They own their own shop. They make the rules. They can do all kinds of interesting things to make your life more difficult (make youwait and pay more).

You HAVE to play by THEIR rules or "NO CAR FOR YOU!"

that would be just too cool to have a lady
driving around in a RED SSR! kudos to you
ma'am for wanting one.

it never occurred to me that women would
be interested in such a macho machine.

SSR diecast

:grouphug
I have about 20 diecast SSRs in all sizes.
1:24, 1:43, and 1:64th scale in all colors.
Not all are correct colors but who cares--I have
the red one and that's what counts. My dealership
has the 1:24th Indy pace truck for sale. Gorgeous!!!

My build date as of 8-29-03 is still set for the
week of 9-15-03 as an 03 model. I hope I can
be among the first to let you know what it feels like
to take delivery. I know one of you has a TBW of
9-8-03 and I am as excited as you are.

Diecast all over ebay

Hey Lady in Red, just go to ebay and you will find tons fo Models for sale. Cheaper than from the dealer too.

I went to my dealer today too. They dont have a clue! I am amazed every time. They talk about stuff that is old news already and blabber on with mis information. I just nod and say "Is that right"....

ATTN: Moderator attached is a couple good pics for a forum logo thingie..
