I was privileged to be invited to display my Custom 1951 Chevy 1-ton flatbed dually along with my 1952 quarter midget racer that my dad hand built for me and my two brothers. A complete description of the quarter midget racer is at racerboys.com.

The '51 Chevy truck was built by Richard Peters, who was the first owner of Ala Kart, a famous roadster that won the AMBR Award in 1958 and 1959, and was built by Richard, George Barris and Blackie Gejeian. George Barris later bought Ala Kart and made it famous. Of course the 1947-53 Chevy truck style was the inspiration for the styling of the SSR.

I also own a 2006 FPR Black over Silver SSR, which is my fourth SSR, although one at a time.

I've seen Don's "group" of vehicles in person and can tell you they are all high class builds. I especially loved looking over his '51 flatbed when he brought it to one of our Permagrin Breakfasts....GORGEOUS!! Looks great on display Don.

Congrats!! (y)
