I first fell in love with the SSR when I saw it as a concept at the Houston Auto Show in January of 2000. When I heard that they were going to stop making it in '06 I started looking for a good used one. I've now owned 4 R's since 2006. The first one was an '05 Ricochet Silver from '06 to '07. Number two an '05 Ricochet Silver from '07 to January of 2019 when I wrecked and totaled it. Number three was also a Ricochet Silver '05 from January of '19 to November of '19 when I traded it in for an '06 Black over Silver FPR. All I can say is "Permagrin" every time I drive it.
Smoothies are wheels that are "smooth" usually steel and a lot of times have baby moons and trim rings. I am trying to remember who had a set on the SSR a while back.
Wide whites are wide white side walls . Those are period correct to the 50'S. I have a set on my '55 T-Bird.
Both are on a lot of early 50"s hot rods and pickup restorations.
