One thing to always remember is get some good reliable advice from the expert in that field. Some parts places will sell you exactly what you ask for and nothing else. In Hot Rodding sometimes to get the most out of what you are doing you need to go further than you initially intended or your motor may run worse than stock. I agree with some of the previous posts. It may be you can't just change the cam. The expert might tell you about things you never thought of to get the full power and maintain reliability. Like if you change the cam you may need to change valve springs because of different lift or you may need to change exhaust, or intake, lifters, pushrods, etc. You may have thought one price in your mind for cam but in order for it all to work properly the cost maybe double what you initially thought. I am beating a drum here. Ask the expert what to do and save money and headaches in the long run. Just my two cents. Good luck.
