Turbo VS Supercharger

Wow this is pretty impressive over 100 HP and over 110 torque at about half the cost of a supercharger. Installation is a lot easier than Super Charger. Added plus you gain 2-3 mpg. on gas when just cruising. I talked to the guys at STS who developed this type of Turbo Charger and they tell me even though they don't have an actual kit for the SSR yet they have a universal kit that will work with some custom tube cutting. Makes it difficult for a self installation but they do have installation company's all over that can do it. Does change the sound of the exhaust as they replace the muffler with the Turbo Charger. They say it sounds more throatier with a jet engine type sound when you get on it.

When STS develops the kit for the SSR....CAR Motorsports will be selling it. CAR Motorsports will offer the best possible pricing. Most of the kits are between $3,800 - $4.200. The Kits have worked very well on the LT1, LS1 Engines. STS Turbo did receive the Top Engineered Product award at the 2004 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
