I'd like to get a few improvements on the agenda for SSRfanatic. We've had a few suggestions in the past. Some of the better ones IMHO are a member map and a registry.

What else would you like to see us implement here?

While we're on the subject of improving the site, I want to thank the Supporting Members who make it possible to buy extra software and pay our tech consultants to do custom work and graphics for us! :cheers:

Troy, How about a links page for advertisers that have SSR aftermarket products for sale.

I think that it is a great site. The only thing that I can think of is to make it easier to find people in your same state. Other than that don't change a thing.

I really like the owner map idea - it would be a great way to meet up with other owners if you're on a road trip.

Just make sure you include us Canucks - most maps stop at the US border, and our stickpins make us look like we're border jumping. :lol Sheesh - no wonder we develop hives and rashes.

I like the idea of the SSR links page for aftermarket products and the member map.

Agree with Brownhornet, need a standard for the persons location to search.
Should be made part of the initial signup.

1. Links page a must.
2. More n better "emoticons". :thumbs :yesnod
3. Allow the use of more "emoticons" in postings. 10 is jus not enuf. :nodno
4. Make ALL newbies use the "Search" tool on this forum b4 postin ?'s.
5. Hav a "Ride'n Nekked in my SSR" foto contest. :yesnod :cheers

How About Getting Some Regional Get-Togethers Going?

I'd like to see if we can come up with some breakouts and some "leaders" for each major metropolitan or geographical area. I had a blast hanging around with folks from the Dallas / Ft Worth Avalanche Fan Club (http://www.chevyavalanchefanclub.com). Each region organized monthly get-togethers at a local restaurant or watering hols...maybe went on a 80 - 120 mile cruise or some such. It was great to meet other owners, learn about their issues and solutions as well as see some of the custom modifications people were doing to their trucks.

What do you think? Any interest? I'd be very interested if we could get something started in Central Florida.

I like the idea of a member map; I think that would be a useful and interesting tool to see where all our members live by just checking that one place. :thumbs

I agree with the member map and someone else's idea about the local or regional get togethers. I am no longer the only member on Long Island (in NY) but darn if I can actually find out where these people are.

I still think we should plan a national get together. I think it would surprise us all how many would actually attend.

On each memeber at sign up and for present users a location for events and new clubs to begin from the SSR Fanatic Site.
