Just picked up my new 04, and wow, am I happy. You really have to love the internet, it offers us so much information! I checked out Reliable Chevrolet in Springfield, MO. and talked to Bob Griffith. He told me that they were selling SSR's by the dozens, and the prices blew me away.

If anyone doubted the "NO RESERVE" prices on Ebay, I'm here to tell you that this guy is for real. I live 9 hours away, and he made the deal for mine so easy that I still can't stop feeling like I won the lottery.

I really love my new SSR, it runs and drives better than I expected. I never even test drove one until I picked up my new one, and it doesn't disappoint.

Interested to know what the MSRP was and what you paid. Also, color, etc.!
MSRP was $47975, and my local dealer had an identical one that I could have gotten for around $35000. Let's just say that they made it worth my time to get it out of state.

This one is red, with chrome wheels, and has *I think* every option except for the gauge package.

Price

Intuition tells me you paid right around $30k..... as one of my buddies told me yesterday..... "it is worth the drive to Springfield" >>>> he bought one of the silver ones Reliable had..... MSRP in the order of $48k plus (chrome wheels et cetera) for $30,751 or some weird number like that..... and he came nearly 1200 miles (had the beast trucked back for $500 or so and told me he saved about $5k over the best price he could get locally.....

Apparently, Reliable has figured some tax thing out that allows them to buy from other Chev dealers and sell these new SSr's for very advantageous prices. They are the market (both eBay and call in) from what I can see.....
