Two friends of mine here in Lake Havasu City AZ have both had their gas tanks replaced on early '03's at the Chevy Dealership on Warranty in the last month. Apparently not all '03-'04 trucks have the problem, but if you have your truck checked(at your expense) and it is leaking, or looks like it has been leaking, they will change out the tank free of charge on Warranty. The date the truck was sold/put in to service determines the start of the Warranty. It expires 15 years after the date the truck was put in to service so I am told.

just checked with o'reilly auto parts and it is listed at $202.00 plus tax . better hope for warranty.

Ilsa had hers changed a couple years ago. I could always smell gas when her tank was full because of the leak.
