While installing my Muth mirrors, the door was not closed overnight and battery went dead. Where is the timer that is supposed shut the lights off if this happens or is it built in one of the modules in the vehicle?

The Body Control Module controls all lighting.
There is a 10 minute timer that shuts the lights off.

I am not near a computer to log into service manual. I did find out while cleaning mine for the road trip is. Interior lights will shut off with doors open, I even manually turned on map light and with door open or closed it shut off. This works as long as keys is off.
If possible after I cook dinner I will try to look up some information. I will also have a tech 2 at Maggie Valley to explore in more detail if you still have an issue.

Look up BODY CONTROL MODULE on SSR HOW TO LIBRARY.

May need to clean connections or replace.
