Irwindale Raceway 2nd Annual SSR Event

Second Annual Event

Just received word from redwingflier (Jesse) that Irwindale Raceway has invited us back for their 4th of July event. The actual date is July 1st, 2006 since the 4th falls on a Tuesday. We are fortunate to get the best date of the year once again. We certainly are grateful to the club that cancelled this year because I think this date is ours from now on? So mark the date on your calendar, I'm certain there will be at least 60 to 70 for this event? I will be talking to Sierra Chevrolet as soon as I get the DVD for them and I'm sure they will welcome us back?

Are you taking reservations yet Fred. Just kidding. You got that handled very quickly. Good Job. I would give some of the credit to Jesse, but he sprays water on Ultra Violet SSRs.

Tim and I will be sure to make it this time, plenty of time to make arrangements and even more time to get some mods done to the ol' UV :ssr :lol :lol But, hope to :seeya way before 7/1/06!

Jesse can only see RED, as in REDLINER. Give us (50) all some credit, Doug Stokes, Irwindale Speedway, just called me and he still is wound up over what a big hit we were at his fine race track...

Little soon to start making a list, but know your always ready to help. We will need a head count when the date gets close for Irwindale and hopefully Sierra Chevy. I would think we will form a committee a few months early and start taking names, there won't be a cut off number.

Count Me In Also....And

Count me in also, and just be aware that they had a little trouble fitting all of us into the staging area. The guy who was doing the staging said that if we grew much bigger then there might be a problem getting us all in to the staging area. However, I have an idea, the stager would stage as many people as he can in the staging area. The rest of us could be staged close by in the parking lot. When the time came to enter the track we could then enter the track from the parking lot instead of the staging area.
