In racing situations, Ilsa would shift quickly between 1 and 2, but noticeably more slowly between 2 and 3. When I had a tranny shop check the automatic and the differential; they tightened the bands, and either drilled or opened up the fluid hole so the 2 - 3 shift would be faster, and now it is.
