Well I ordered my 2005 SSR today and was told I should have it in about 3MONTHS!! :mad But being the patient person I am...I CAN WAIT! :mad

I am truley excited about this vechicle and all the things I am going to do to it. I ordered my 2002 Avalanche and was thrilled when it finally arrived and haven't stopped modding since...its nice. :thumbs

I asked my dealer where they built the SSR and he did not know :confused He did'nt know where they built the Avalanche when I ordered it also :confused

So I am asking anyone for any details you all might have on where the SSR is built. I heard from someone today they are built in Detroit, but the chassis is farmed out for the body to someone else to complete. Any info would be appreciated. :)

I will try and post a picture of my AV. I am a member of the Chevy Avalanche Club of North America (CAFCNA) and got most of my modding ideas from that forum. I have attending many GTG's in various locations Canada being the biggest with 90 AV'S and 1 EXT this past June. We have about 40 AV's meeting the 3rd week in August in Atlanta, GA. I can't wait to attend my first GTG of SSR"s...you do gtg don't you?? :jester

Don't know if I GTG or not; however I once went in to order a hot water heater and the guy asked how many BTUs. So I told him enough to heat a TUB of water big enough to bathe my BUT in! :lol :lol

Congratulations on your future SSR. Try not to pay to much attention to all the negativity you read on this forum, you'll see that most of the complaints are from the same bunch of people....these trucks are a blast! As for your dealer, he doesn't seem to do much research on his products... The SSR is built with pride in Lansing MI, USA. :flag On the other hand your Avalanche was slapped together in Mexico. :mad
