Can I bungy cord the rear bed lid mostly closed and drive okay? I need to haul some longer fishing rods. Figured it'd be okay......... Thanks in advance!!

Might be "OK", but I'd for sure be padding those longer rods very carefully.......or you may find yourself fishing with (shorter) rods than desired.:surprise: A couple of bounces could ruin your day.

i've wrapped the items with a towel to protect the tailgate mostly. double the bungee by hooking to the striker on the lid, down to the hinge arm and back up to the striker. you can do both sides if you are more comfortable like that. don't forget about the roof thing.

If you have Mike's Struts you may need more than a bungee cord!!?? A CAM BUCKLE type Tie down strap with the cover touching the tubes so there is no bounce UP to DOWN. Thats the way I do the bed cover on my Silverado!!
