I finally finally finally FINALLY........I will say it again, FINALLYY!!! can get my SSR to m.east where i am at and not pay like $10k over. My cousin suggested i call lingenfelter to see if i could just buy the car from them and it doesnt hurt to ask so i did. They asked if i want any upgrades on it and i guess oh what the hell i will need some extra power anyway :reddevil
For the '05 LS2 model they offer
heads and cams(manual transmission gets a bigger size cam though), K&N air filter, and corsa exhaust system for $7000 including installation and it would take up to 3 weeks to finish.
this package gets the car up to 480hp to the crank.
then there is the 427 cid package which from what i heard from the guy costs $25,000 and that gets you up to 520hp.
then there is the crazy package which is a 427 twin turbo which produces 725hp to the crank but that costs more than a new ssr itself $61,000

I decided to go with the $7000 package for now and there is also headers available through them for $1300 including installation.

So now one week to clear paperwork back and forth through fedex, 3 weeks for installation plus 40 days for shipping by boat....i think i am gonna go crazy once its here.

thanx all for the reply.

I became greedy and went for the 427 upgrade
so now it's a 7.0 litre '05 SSR 530hp according to them.
I am gonna ask them to add a nitrous bottle for those 'just incase' moments. According to LPE they made a few twin turbo SSRs. I wonder if any of the owners are on this board.
