Just flew back to Omaha, Nebraska with the wife and drove our newly purchased 04 Slingshot (with ghost flames) 1,910 miles home in 3 days!Previous owner had owned it for 1 year and only put 1,200 miles on it. :confused

Averaged 19.1 mpg and I think an equal number of spg (smiles per gallon)! :)

Car ran flawless although seats could use more padding for 13 hour shifts!

Would love to meet any other San Diego area fanactics and continue to learn more about this fun ride. Drop me an e-mail an we will see about hooking up.

This site was definately a contributing factor to our purchase. A wide support base is invaluable when owning a speciality vehicle.

Hope to see you on the road (not 1 sighting in 1,900 miles!)

I am ssrbh, live in Mira Mesa driving a Redline Red 05. Haven't hooked up with Tony and his new group just yet, but have met with others for a recent meet up in the Temecula area. Look forward to pulling us together in SD, the only thing sweeter than one SSR is multiple SSRs.

Welcome to ssrbh and Yellow Flash.

I've had my '05 since mid-January and have over 7500 miles on it and taking a trip for another 800 or so today. Great roadster!

I live in Santee. I've been to a few events with folks from this forum and have met a great bunch of people.

Jim Carden has an SSR Club started in Temecula and is having a "Mystery Ride" on May 22nd. We meet in Temecula (on a Sunday - low traffic).

Recommend you both make the event. Contact Jim or Tony who is on this same thread with any questions. If you need their post addresses, stay within this "Pacific" forum and you will see their addresses in their previous posts.

Yellow Flash,

Glad to hear the trip went well. Agree that the seats are just a little hard on the bottom, but a stop now and then helps. Mileage seems about right, I've done twenty plus with air on and eighty to Vegas, but need a tail wind to help. Sure we will hook up on a Tamecula run soon? Llogger will be contacting you for sure since yours is yellow and flamed too.

Congrats Steve,

You are in great company here on this site as you are probably well aware. If you ever get to the Santa Clarita area, drop us a line, we love to meet other owners. It is not very often that you can see even 2 of these fine vehicles together. They always attract alot of attention.........and attention is a GOOD thing.
