Magnacharger Value vs Performance

The magnacharger is installed as of 1 week now. Cost over $6500 for purchase of polished charger plus labor to mechanic.

Have not dyno'd yet but will do as my SSR will make the Hot Rod Power Tour from Dallas 6/4 to Green Bay 6/11.

PLEASE WAIT before making a hefty $7000.00 + investment in what may be an increase in performance however I feel the vehicle may still need more performance mods to truly be a muscle vehicle.

Talk to the few others who may already made the purchase & install. Not to be proud to be honest and save our hard earned money on a vehicle that we have already shelled out $45,000 on.

Thanks, too!

I saw a guy who runs a truck accessery shop who just picked up his Viper power Dodge SVT truck. He said he would like to get a SSR but said it is underpowered especially with it weighting 4700#! Are you listening GM!!!
I'll wait some more before I decide to add a power booster. Fred :seeya :flag

Magnacharger

Thanks for the tip! Please keep us informed on how your supercharger is doing. Like, any regrets for the spending, is the performance as good as expected, etc. :thumbs
Magnacharger..... and the M30 transmission

Notice that the 2005 6.0L LS2 is slated to have the M32 automatic.... my concern with the 'charger is the mid to long term effect it is going to have on the transmssion (i.e. will the M30 stand-up> I doubt for long!)........... :jester

I have seen in the hot rod magazines the article on GM yellow and UV SSR had increased the HP and had to beef up or upgrade the tranny to handle the 425 HP. I am hoping that this tranny will hold the charger and the 35 - 50 shot of NOS.

More info later. My 5 1/2 customization will be mostly completed by June 3rd.
