i am currently looking for more info in how to turn my 2003 red ssr into a woody. i have a fantastic woodworker working for me, currently, but we need more info about the woods & how to affix panels to truck.

all info would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you given any thoughts to maybe doing it as a vinyl wrap? That way if you wanted to go back to original you could fairly easy?

Opinion from someone who has no idea what he’s talking about.

Wood will move a lot with moisture content, much more across the grain than with it, and different woods grow at different rates. You’re fortunate today with all the epoxies and polymers available you should be able to seal and stabilize the wood assemblies.

Metal car bodies don’t move with moisture (except rusting away), but do grow a little with heat.

It seems to me the attachment of the wood assemblies to the metal body should be slightly flexible as with a silicon sealer at the perimeter as well as some bolts to prevent them from going straight when you turn right or left.
