Meeting Kaufbeuren, Germany:

Hello SSR community,
Every start is difficult, its always hard to organize a SSR meeting. There are only 5 entusiasts that made it to a little meeting here in Kaufbeuren, Germany, a couple of days ago. We are still hoping to organize a big get together here in Germany, Lenard was able to do that twice in sweden. It would be awesome if we could expand our SSR Family a little further.
It would be great to see you at a meeting here in Germany.

Hallo SSR Gemeinde,
Aller Anfang ist schwer, was die Organisation eines SSR Treffens angeht. Es ist uns (5 Enthusiasten) gelungen ein kleines Meeting in Kaufbeuren zu Organisieren. Wir geben die Hoffnung nicht auf ein großes SSR Zusammenkommen in Deutschland, wie es Lenard in Schweden bereits zum zweiten mal geschafft hat, zu veranstalten.
Vielleicht hat der eine oder andere Lust an einem SSR Treffen dabei zu sein.

Euro gathering

Hi guys
Yes I am up for a meet in Germany, or any other place for that matter.
Saw a Red SSR a few weeks ago, left a card on windscreen but didn't hear from owner.
Only 2 miles from where I live!
Small world but difficult to get anyone to get out and about, i think a post on the main part of forum would be good as this location is a bit tucked away, I don't look here very often but will put a link so and post will pop up straight away
Where in Germany are you?

Yes the tunnel would be good but unfortunately you cannot drive though it so will not get the beautiful sound of the V8's reverberating all around you.
Kaufbeuren seems like a very Bavarian town and looks 'Wondwerbar!!'
Hope we can get a few others on board
Do you have a date in mind for the gathering?
Maybe we need to place posts in a more location Where it is more noticeable

Wow Roman! That looks like fun and wish I could've been there too. Hope you and the family are well and will be on the Main in December for Christmas market trip with friends/family...ending in Nuremburg and then off to Salzburg and finally Munich. Planning a big outing to the Hofbrau Haus (probably 30 of us) where we first met you last year:smile2:

I hope so too! I am constantly on the lookout for other SSR Drivers in Germany. Would be cool to see a lot more SSRs in europe.
@Ireland SSR,
I will let you know when we meet up the next time! Would be awesome to get SSR Support from Ireland and the UK!

I live in Munich. I got no idea about a possible date, would like to do the meeting next summer. I thought about meeting in the centre of Germany, so its easier for everyone to get there. I will send you more details by pm.

For the European/UK viewers - I keep a record of SSR's in a VIN Registry.
As of today, I have recorded 200 (on the nose) SSR's in Europe/UK

I would appreciate if owners would PM me info on their SSR's as I am sure there are many I am unaware of.
Obviously, everything is optional but info I would like:

VIN - (last 5 is fine)
Name
Country & nearest city
Colour
Any major mod's
Approximate mileage or kms
