Took delivery of an 05' SSR last night and noticed the "maximum defrost" lamp on the climate control "mode knob" is always illuminated even when no climate control functions are selected (climate control system off) Looked through the owners manual and find no mention of this. Is this normal? Any help would be appreciated. :confused

Yes that is normal.

Defrost Light

I wondered about this too. My '03 is the same way, so there has to be a reason for it. Anybody out there know why? :confused

Alway Illuminated

This is always illuminated so that duing inclimate weather or low light situations, you can quickly turn the defroster to max without have to search around. (It works great for those of us whose eyesight just ain't what it used to be). :lol
