Cargo Trailer and Hitch Modification

I am looking for an enclosed cargo trailer to use behind the SSR fo hauling two Harleys. I know of the Ironhorse Eagle Sport Carrier, but was wondering what other Harley rider were using? I would be interested in others comments. Thanks

I've got an 8'X12' enclosed tandem axle HAULMARK, that I used for my two bikes, and I'm looking to sell it to make room in my garage. PM me if interested.

Thanks HARDOC, I also have a S&H single axle 6x10 v nose two bike enclosed trailer that I was pulling with my C3 that is for sale. A little to heavy for the SSR. Thanks for the responce.

2 Harleys plus an ENCLOSED trailer will almost certanly exceed the 2500 lb towing limit. Be careful.

I have located another cago trailer mfg. in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Fiber Core Sport TRLS @www.sporttrls.com. From the internet it look to be a nice trailer with good features. They do not have any dealers close and I was wondering if any one has seen this trailer and could provide an opion about it? Thanks for your help.

Harley Hauler And Hitch Modification

Modifications to the trailer hitch have been made to lower the hitch 5 inches to provide a level platform for the Fiberglass Motorcycle Trailer. The modification will limit the SSR tongue weight capacity about 20%. The motorcycle Trailer is light (1200#) and the tongue weight is only (60#) when empty. With the motorcycles loaded over the center of the trailer axel there is very little increase in the tongue weight. The trailer pulls great and the aerodynamics work quite well.

Hi Bob A,

I am located in Enid, OK. Have not been in Tulsa with the SSR, but worked for the Williams Co's a number of years ago. I do get to Tulsa once and a while and will look for you on the road. The best until.

Osduce: WHERE did you get that "add-on" hitch?

I'd like to get one, for just about exactly the same reason. I have a wonderful aluminum motorcycle trailer, and a hitch height 4 to 5 inches lower would be perfect.

Ssr Trailer Hitch Modification

The SSR Trailer Hitch Modification was fabricated by a local welding shop. I can make arrangements for building one for anyone who migt be interested. I am also interested as I trailer an ATV to the shop on occasion.

Question, does the fabracation have a tendency to rotate on the bolt & nut or is there a lip to hold it in line, I can't tell in the pic.

Nice Job!

Great looking set up you have there 03DUCE. You did a great job researching and putting it all together. Are you going to paint it yellow to match your SSR?

I don't plan to paint it yellow by may repaint it to a semigloss flat black to match the trailer hitch.

To keep it from turning there is a U shape collar that the SSr hitch fit in. I works great and finishes off the modification.
