I have an 05 and have read several post on the different options for us on exhaust. Different mufflers, true duals, H pipes, X pipes, flowmaster and many others. What peaks my interest is the favorable results some have had with simply removing the stock muffler and going to a Y pipe where the muffler was. My next question is, has anybody found an over the counter clamp on Y pipe that can be installed by the owner? Or is there a fanatic out there that could make them? Seems like it would be an very easy job to do at home. D

Hi Oldfatguy
I had a muffler shop cut the muffler out and build the Y straight pipe I think it cost me $125 .
I liked the louder sound , I also added Mike's tips a little louder now .
Trial and error no big deal and can always put it back to stock . Dave

Jersey, that looks great, clamped on and reversible if need be, nice! Love Mike's tips too. Did the tips change it much? did you clamp them on too?
