B4 u go an hav'm tear ur stuff apart :nono ....alot of us had the same prob n it was fixed by havin the dealer jus realign the windows. :yesnod There r adjustments on the inside of the door 2 help realign the track so the window closes correctly. :thumbs

Well, I typed it in under search and sorry I got no response. My questiuon is does the SSR have REAL dual exhaust, meaning two catalysts converters, not two exhaust lines going into one exhaust line. Thank you very much

You have to have three characters to do a search. The index would grow too large if it indexed less than that.

Hey Devil, take a look at these pics on an installation we did for Yaller Dog out of OKC. You have two cats, which then merge into one Y Pipe, then back again to one muffler to dual pipes out the rear.

Hi Chris,

Iv'e got an 03 Redline Red that I installed Dynatech headers on.Sorry you had so much trouble getting the passenger side to fit.I also had a hell of a time on the right side. The left side fell in but, I wound up dropping the right side in from the top.I just moved the coolant tank forward out of the way and voila! in she went. I didn't have to raise the motor or anything. I did have to re position the starter wires for propper clearance but thats all. This was probably the easyest header install I've done.
I also forwarded an installation report to John over at Dynatech. It's a really sweet system.

Hi Marc..... I looked in your search for solutions to "moisture collecting in the trunk"...... my dealership thinks it is a torn gasket.. I think it is so airtight that everytime i open the back (in the Pacific NW rain) it drips in and GROWS!! Any thoughts about putting a small heater in the back for a few hours - with the top open of course........ Hey, my other car is a gorgeous H2 HUMMER, so I'm no dummy, just very fussy about my vehicles!!!

Need a little help

I am new here, but not new to club forums.

I currently drive an Avalanche and am in Club Avalanche - I am the Houston area coordinator and I know QinHouston who used to have an AValanche before he got his SSR.

Now for the question - I have been wanting a SSR since they came out but didn't want to get rid of my AV.
I bought my wife a 2005 AV last April and now I am back to wanting an SSR since they came out with the two tone paint and a 6 liter with a 6 speed tranny!

Do I trade my AV which I have thousands of dollars in Mods and give up the AV club and being the Houston area coordinator, get my Dream SSR, join this club and get into the GTG scene here and begin the modding all over again, or do I keep my AV and continue to dream of the SSR - or better yet continue in the AV club with my wife and her AV (with her as the Houston area coordinator) and trade MY AV for MY SSR and have the best of both worlds?

So there you have it - I need a little push to help me make my descision and I think this is the group to help give me that push!

I have looked around here and am impressed with the level of involvement of the local groups and their GTGs.

Anyway - I will await your posts, emails and comments.

Thanks in advance for what I am sure will be some great insight.

I am waiting for a call to meet with a dealer who is getting the color scheme SSR I want - it is a Richochet Silver with Blue on the hood and roof.

I really want it - it will just be a matter of what deal I can make for the AV as a trade.
I hate to waste all the mods but the SSR sure looks sweet!

I would love to keep them both - but I will still have the wifes 05 AV if I trade mine.

Good to see a familiar name over here - were you at the Bowling Green GTG?
If so I am sure we have meet - I am TexAVfan on CAFCNA and Club AV.

I have thought of selling off my mods or putting some on the wifes AV.

The only issue I have is that we have our 2 oldest girls gone away to college but still have 2 children at home and with the SSR I can only bring one family member at a time.
I am working out the details with my wife on using her AV as the primary family transport and the SSR as MINE and MINE alone She is somewhat unsure :nono

But I am sticking to my guns - I just hope I can make a good deal - if the dealer really gives me a good deal I feel like I will trade - anyone want to share the deals they got - window stickers vs sale price out the door?
I would appreciate any insight into what I can expect them to come off window sticker before trade allowance.
