I've been a member since September, though I haven't introduced myself. All my friends know me as Buck. I am origionally from Linville, NC near The Grandfather Mountain and currently live in the NC Piedmont (Salisbury). I am 72 yrs. old, retired, and a wounded Viet Nam Infantryman (1/27 Wolf Hounds, part of the 25 Infantry). I got my Yellow 04 SSR (last 6 of VIN 110086) in September, 2022 and really enjoyed driving it and showing it off. So far the only problem I've had with it is a hydraulic cylinder leak, which seems a pretty big and expensive problem. I started a discussion about this problem without going through the proper channels. I think I have done the things I'm supposed to except I haven't pinned my location on the member map; I'm undecided how to do that. I do appoligize for doing things out of order! It has really been a pleasure reading a lot of the posts; sounds like a really great and knoledgeable group of people. Looking forward to reading more posts and getting to know you more. Hopefully I will eventually get to meet some of you in the future.

The pin map is not a requirement but it is a way for others to know if you are near by or not if they are traveling and get in a bind or if you need help and they are nearby. You do not commit any information you do not wish to and you can always change what is there. There is a lot of information available regarding the hydraulics for the top and how to obtain and replace parts on Dictators One Drive or through a growing number of members who are being trained to do that work.

Consider clicking on the Colored Letter/Picture, top far right corner, go down to "Account Settings", click, and fill in your information. Especially your LOCATION and the year of your SSR, like the rest of us. Then go the the left side and click on "Signature". Also put the year of your SSR in your "Signature", and anything else you want to show in your posts, and we can help you better if you have a problem. When you finish click the "SAVE" box.
