Itinerary:
Wed: 2-21: Leaving ~1PM, Starting from South Dallas/Ft. Worth Hit I-20 and a really exciting 1000 mile trip along Interstate 20 until I get back to South Carolina. At least my infallible sense of direction and a GPS and maybe a couple passenger pigeons and I can't get really lost traveling the same road for 1000 miles.
Gonna try 300- 400 miles a day, Wanted to know if there is any place on that route anyone could recommend as a stop.
Wednesday Evening Day one should put me at least to Shreveport, LA. I really need to find someplace there, I know nothing about the area.
2-22:
Shreveport to Birmingham is 459 miles, Dinner with my Amigos to rest my traveling butt.
2-23
Birmingham to Columbia, SC is 360 miles, home to wash off the Road dust.
Got 8 days to be touristy, and I've never seen any of that part of the country except from the air. Plan Thursday stop in Birmingham to catch up with Phil and Greg & Jo Green.
Love to catch up with anyone I can along the way, Gonna try and post some trip pix along the way, hope it won't just be the welcome centers and rest areas.
Cell is 8034220947
Any suggestions are appreciated.
