Usless people shouldn't be allowed to breed (the dealer). He needs to use his head and if he couldn't find them he should have had the parts dept call out to another dealer to get the numbers.

Tell him he owes you lunch for taking up your time. Also ask him for his home number, that way you can call him if you get a flat.

Part numbers are as follows:

Case #9593934
Compressor #9593933
Tire Inflator Kit Tire Sealant # 09593932

After 4 days of driving around I got around to checking my kit. Not there !!!!!!!!! When I called the dealer my salesman said the 05 model did not need one because I had a spare tire. Should of seen the look on his face when he got his fat ass under the truck to show me the spare.

He immediatly went out to another truck and removed it for me.

Lesson for the day - check everything befor you leave !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about the laws in your state but here you can't sell a car without a jack so our dealer ordered a new kit for our '03 at no cost to us. When we bought our '05 we checked to make sure the kit was there.

There should be no reason for anyone to have to pay for something that should have come with the Truck and if the dealership isn't checking for this item how do they know if it was or wasn't there. There is no spare this is the only tool SSR drivers have.

Seems like there was a post a while back about Tire Inflator Kits missing in some 03 and 04 SSR's. GM new about it I thought and they were going to forward them on to the dealers. Its part of the standard equipment package. You paid for it already! :banghead

Well...

I know it's not much consolation, but this sounds like our carpet kit. It's been 3 months and they are still saying it is back ordered. I'm beginning to think they are just trying to blow us off, hoping we will forget about it. That, my friends, just ain't gonna happen. They owe me carpet and I'll have it. I may have to remove it from another truck in their stock, but....

600 bucks for that kit is hilarious... I took mine out, and there really isn't much to it... You could pick up something just as good from Autozone or Walmart for less than $50 bucks....

Now that we are talking about tool kits though.

Is there anything that is supposed to go in the hinged compartment on the underside of the tonneau cover?

Thanks!
