Just wondering how often most of you change oil.

And is there something about a dealer needing to reset something on the computer after an oil change?

Oil change

:smash Depends on how you drive, and temps etc. Your DIC will keep you posted, and you can reset it when you change oil. Check your manual, its easy, just call up the oil life remaining and and press and hold the reset button. If you dont have the DIC then change the oil about every 8000mile, if you use synthetic like Amsoil you can change less. Hope this helps,

My wife's Chevy Trailblazer with the 5.3L V-8 has the same oil life monitor as the SSR. She gets about 8,500-9,500 miles per change. I use AMSOIL's least expensive oil in her truck, the AMSOIL XL Synthetic 5w30.

GM reports that she is average (page of my website):
