Got your stuff Focks
Focks had called me this morning while I was cleaning my SSR (bugs have been awful up here lately). He had inquired about a Wisconsin novelty, and if I would bring it along when I come to Detroit? Being from the friendly state of Wisconsin I responded, I didn't have it at this time, but I could stop and get it to bring along.
SOOO!!!!FOCKS YOU WILL RECIEVE WHAT YOU ASKED FOR WHEN WE ARRIVE IN DETROIT.
Later on I had called Kroozn to see how his traveling was going. Guess I just knew when to call him, cause he was just pulling into Janesville and getting ready to check in to the hotel.
I figured as long as he was in town why not take him and his son shawn on a GM plant tour of the Tahoes, Suburbans, Yukons, and Denali's.
They accepted very quickly. After they had checked in, and I had made a phone call to set up a personal tour, we met at my place as it was getting dark. Off to the plant we went. First up was the fabulous Safety video and then off on our walk through various areas of the plant. Since Kroozn is also into painting we took him up through the Paint booth area to show the Robotics doing all the painting. SO COOL TO WATCH THEM IN ACTION AND HOW FAST THEY APPLY THE COLORS. Then off to the body shop where they assemble most of the sheet metal. back around to where the bodies are out of paint and ready for interior parts. next came I/P's (dash) then seats, over further is chassis where suspensions are assembled and drive trains put in, then around the corner to body marriage, ,later came Door installation, and then Final line. Once past Final line we went through the repair shop for those pesky ones that didn't pass the testing and are reworked to pass inspection, (i.e. trany wouldn't shift, check all connections or change out if need be). All this in only 2 hours.
I believe Kroozn and his son enjoyed the tour.
Now it's back home to finish packing and check my favorite site. No sooner did I get back home whe it started raining. Well there goes my days work of cleaing and polishing. It wasn't as bad as I thought, just a sprinkle, but enopgh to mess things up.
Well packings done except for tooth brushes, which are needed for morning. Now it's 12.19 and I need some rest before I have to get up at 5:00 am.
Night all.
