when i'm driving i try to look like i do not notice people staring at the car but of course i'm delighted that people love it so much.

i also find myself discreetly checking out other drivers to see if they are looking.

and when i see a pretty girl i sometimes accidentally get close to their car...... :lol

what does everyone else do or enjoy noticing when driving our beauties?

We have fun identifying what kind of drivers are coming towards us.

Seem to fall in four categories

- those who don't notice at all, and they are usually driving gray or brown generic cars. (Marc, your doesn't count as gray, so don't start hitting me)

- leaners - ever noticed how many guys lean to the center of their car or truck to get a better look??

- pointers - I especially like the guys in the passenger's seat who almost take off their wife's nose as they point.

- gawkers - going the same direction, and staying in your blind spot for miles, only to pull ahead and do the rubberneck thing, all the while gradually cutting into your lane because they're pretty much turned completely around.

All time favorite was when I was bringing mine back from North Carolina, and caught up to a very large group of the non-lawyer type of bikers. I was a bit concerned going by, but got nothing but grins and thumbs up. The the games began - several pulled up behind me, another group pulled ahead of me, and the passenger on the lead bike in the fast lane was turned around taking pictures.

Do any of you do a Y.V.Y. ? :ssr
I had a shiney gray car once. Just once.
When I'm having a bad day I make a point to look around and see how many people smiling at me. It is always a good pick me up.

OK! I give up. What's a YVY?
Today was a great day, top down sun shining , I enjoy all the attention she gets, I also sometimes look to see the expressions on the faces of the other drivers. I don't like the lurkers because when they are in your blind spot they can do some damage if you plan on entering the left lane to open up but all the rest I enjoy. I get people beeping their horns at me at red lights to ask me about the ride. All I can tell them is I ABSOLUTLY LOVE MY SSR!!!! :cool :yesnod :agree :agree :ssr
Animal in a Cage !!!

Sometimes, I feel like an animal in a cage at the zoo!!!
Now I know how they feel beeing stared at by people.
But it's a great feeling!!! :glol
got a question today

he asked "does it get good gas milage?"
I said "no, it's ok, sometimes ya gotta pay more for the good things!
then vroom! I'm gone :flag
Gas per miles?

NO NO NO who cares.

SMILES per gallon. :)

Well, since no one is going to ask, " What, is a Y.V.Y.?
Do you know?:
I Think It's Called ENVY!

I get a kick out of the guys who want to look so bad, but don't want you to see them looking, so they try to look cool like they have seen a million of them!

Also all the guys who, once spotting you, pull up beside you(mostly Mustangs or Pick-up trucks) and rev the h**l out of their engines, and the ones at stop lights who floor it on take off to let you know their truck is hotter!
Beautiful Sounds!

Mike, I believe it has to be a jpg to display the thumbnail........
Flash,

I had that happen once too with Harley riders. The passengers were taking pictures and waving and man was that cool. Being a biker myself it amazes me that bikers seem to appreciate our beauties most of all.

Me, the fool!

So I'm cruising down the fast lane of I-75 South, just outside of Cincinnnati, I've got the top down, the Beach Boys blasting on the stereo, and I'm humming along at 70 MPH when a guy pulls up alongside, rolls down his window and yells something at me. I figure it's another fan, so I turn down the stereo to see what he's saying, he yells out: "you've had your left turn signal going for the past five miles."

What the hell, we still got it, right?
Thank you

I’m kind of; in barest when people look, I do not know how to react. I do not want to be the first to wave or nod or smile, for fear they think I’m showing off. But afraid they think I feel I’m too good not to wave at them. Catch 22! I ‘m getting very good at replying “thank you” to those who come up and say nice things about the Roadster.
:) Hey RT,

Man I know what you mean. I was feeling real cool three or four times until my alarm went off in my 05 to tell me that I forgot to turn off MY directional. It's a humbling experience and I thought that maybe I'm getting a little older(just turned 64), but each time I also had the tunes cranked up pretty good with the top down. So I am SURE it's not age.

Joe-
Its part of the Florida driving experience. Once you move here its either running for miles with the left blinker on or not using them at all. :lol
