Several years ago I had a Cad. 2 dr. and I was able to find form fitting stone and road filth guards. (Yea, I know most call them "mud flaps".) Will I painted them to match and in my opinion they looked good and did the job. I would consider doing this again to my new SSR only if I can find the right style. Anybody know of this product? Thanks, Dave. Now you can all laugh!!!!! :lol :lol :lol

Haven't seen one for the SSR yet, but I know they are made for the Corvette. If someone can get away with putting mud flaps on a vette, I don't think you will have any trouble getting away with putting them on a truck. :thumbs

I put splash guards on my 2005 SSR about a month ago, I purchased them from Auto Barn. They are made by Highland, style-G, part#-11051. I used the same ones front & rear. I am very happy with them they fit very well, look custom. They do sit a bit low to the road on the front, tend to rub on speed bumps. I purchased an extra set so if the front ones are damaged I will have replacements. I used the factory fasteners to mount them and did not drill any new holes in the car. They keep the sides of the car MUCH cleaner, and yes I do have running boards.
I hope this helps,
Rich

No I did not paint them, I like the way they blend in with the black tires. They can be painted if you want to. By the way my SSR is Yellow.

You can goto autobarn.com to order the mud guards if you do not have an Auto Barn near you.
Nice photos

HI JRYS,

Great Mud Flaps.... and photos... :thumbs could you tell us what the underside of the mud flaps look like also? I like to see a side shot of your SSR with those one too :)
Thanks!

Yours looked so good, I just ordered mine. Thanks for the part number.

JRYS: I have been looking in the Auto Barn web site. So far no luck locating the "mud flaps" for SSR like yours. We don't have a Auto Barn in our area, can you advise further. Dave
Matjow: Thanks for help. I had looked at this same page but couldn't find anything regarding SSR. Now ordered an on there way. Still think I would like to paint to match. Great site and helpful people. Dave

JRYS: I got my splash guards today. Seem to be ok, but I'm having them painted to match my Aqua Blur vehicle. Did you do anything special in the rears when mounting. Seems to be pretty flimsy back there. And yes they are low in the front, I even considered cutting couple inches off fronts but you lose a lot of strength and I'm not sure how to beef them up afterwards. Any ideal's??? Scheide.

Buy an extra set.
I bought two sets. Front and rear, your suggesting if I ruin the front set, just replace. I don't think so, thought maybe you revised your fronts or had some idea's.
How did you determine the SSR needs size g for the splash guards? Just curious since the front ones are so low why wouldn't another size be better?

thanks,
Jeff

I purchesed every size they had at Auto Barn and tryed them all and the size G fit the best overall front and rear.
:seeya JRYS,

Now, that's a man that does not fool around. You get the job done. I too purchased a set for the front wheels and love them. Easy to put on and they look great. As for the speed bumps, go over them just a little bit faster and they do not scrape.

I'm thinkin of getting rubber splash guards for my truck. Do I have to remove the wheels to install them ??
