Within the next week, both the Predator and Superchip will be available for the 6.0L 2005 SSR. The question is, which one to go with? Price at this point does not matter. I am sure they will be about the same.

I am looking for suggestions from those who have experience with them such as:
a. ease of operation
b. returning to factory settings for service
c. customer service
d. cost of upgrade
e. most of all, reliability !!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I only want to go thru this once. I notices that mods can make a difference. The only thing changes I have made so far was to add a cat back Magnaflow exhaust system (which I absolutely love the sound of) and a Green air filter. Other than that, all factory.

Thanks for your time.

My SSR is an 04 and a I recently pruchased the Predator, mine downloaded the truck config to the programmer but I cannot upload anything back. Others have had no problems with theirs. Diablosport has no clue as to why mine doesn't work and it's been over 2 weeks with no resolution from them. I have called and sent emails, they don't keep you updated. Not a professional way to do business.

I would like to thank those on this site for trying to help me with it, Boosted especially, my thanks go out to you. Still no progress with it.

So there's my $400 dollars worth. :banghead

I have the superchip programer...........it is fabilous very easy to program. They have 3 programs for the SSR (done soley for this vehicle) You can set it for towing or performance with reg gas or super performance with 92 octane (my setting) The trans (auto) has 3 options you can set at............ the rev limiter goes from 5700rpm to 6200 in the performance mode..........speed limiter goes as fast as the vehicle can go.

I have tried all 3 programs but love their set up for the super performance. I could not spin the wheels before now it will squeal at each shift point. I have put it back to stock when going to the dealer for numerous door leaks. It only takes a few minutes to reset

I am pleased with the programmer. GOOD INVESTMENT

Thanks Jim for the feedback. I have been leaning towards the Superchip for some time. I just want to make the investment one time. Glad to hear it was easy to set it back to the factory setting should I need to go for service.
I'll keep you posted how it works out on the 05.
