I bought mine last Friday... Out of the 60+ cars I have owned over the past 10 years There is not one that compares to this one...

I think I have finaly found my calling and I never want to let it go...

If your talking about the decision of getting the SSR, it is a great choice. If your talking about getting the 04 instead of the 05 that's a decision only you know the answer to. I just got my SSR last week and traded in my Toyota Sequoia. Never a doubt it was the right move and no regrets. My decision was to go for the 05 with a six speed with the Aqua Blur.

Wow! That is a lot of cars! I wonder why the young folks don't get it? I guess they just don't know the automotive history that links this vehicle to so many genres. You will love the 04. It roars like a beast and you will want to drive it constantly. I do and I have one of the first 1000. The 5.3 has a great exhaust note unique only to those models. I am sure you could mod out an 05 but hey, you can drive more and still have some change left cause you only need regular gas instead of premium! Congrats and enjoy! :seeya

Do It Do It

Fun personified, you may lose some practicality, but as I tell my wife, when I'm in the box nobody will say, my god he was the most practical person on the planet.
For sure they will say he lived it to the fullest.
The SSR is to date the most fun on 4 wheels I have experienced.

I am in the process of selling my 03 Silverado SS to buy a 2004 Redline, 2005 is not in the picture. Did I make a good decision or this :mad
I'm sure you will love it. Will it be your daily driver? What is the climate where you live. Here in New Jersey, I would prefer a SS Silverado over an SSR this time of year!!!

I'm driving my SSR as much as I can (Purchased December 16, 2004), but with the inclimate weather, I've ben driving my Tahoe a lot.

Buying a 2004 SSR

I bought my 2004 SSR three weeks ago. Am throughly enjoying it. I getr a lot of stares, and a lot of questions about if this is a custom built vehicle. But the best part was today. I drove to San Francisco to watch the waves at Ocean Beach. On the way back, I was in sto and go traffic, when the driver of a M/B G55 pulled up alongside. after giving my "truck" the once over, he asked, "How Much"? With out blinking an eye, I said, "If you have to ask, you can't afford". Made my day. Enjoy the ride.

what do you consider "young folks" ? I just turned 28, and bought the SSR a couple weeks before my birthday, but i've been watching it for a couple years waiting (hoping!) for a 6 speed... I looooove this truck!

I traded in a 2004 Escalade EXT with 8500 miles on the odometer for a 2005 SSR automatic. My friends and family think that I am nuts!! That was my second EXT and boy were they boring. (same drive train as your SS) I can't wait to get in my SSR every chance I get. I love the 6 litres!!!!!
