I had someting happen to me yesterday that was kinda cool. I was waiting for a car to leave a parking space so I could pull in and this lady ran up next to the SSR so her husband could take a picture of her with the SSR. I just thought it was pretty cool.

I was going across a toll bridge a while back and when it was my turn the toll collector said the guy in front of me paid for me because he liked my car. :cool :cool

A LOT of years ago and in my single So Cal days - I used to do that to pick up women on the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro. Every once in a while it would work.

I was headed back to mine from a restaurant, when a kid pulled up to it and took pictures with his cell phone. Made me feel pretty good! :cool :thumbs

It's kinda nice to go by a C6 'Vette, top down, opposite directions on the freeway and see him staring at the SSR-top down. Yep I looked at his C6, he stared. :)
You can see lots of Corvettes... but how many sexy looking SSRs does one spot every day? :cheers

Well the other day me and the wife went to eat and it was a cold windy day, I saw 8 SSR's and to the best of my mind I saw 2 Vettes, I live in a small town but to see a SSR is no big deal, Mine gets very few looks and no one has wanted a picture of it

attention overload

I know a guy who resigned from Rotary Club as he said his businesses were taking to much time and he would not have been able to perform adequately the duties of being the new President of the club.

Of course, the major reason was he didn't want to set at the head table every weekly meeting and feel as though he were in a fish bowl; SINCE HE WAS AN INTROVERT. So what does he do a few years later..........buys an SSR!!!!

I can't figure that one out. But, do I really need to? Or, should I really care? NO!

This must be a growing trend. Over the past several months I have had people take pictures. In one instance, I was driving in a neighboorhood when a man ran out in front of the SSR in the middle of the street and wanted to look inside and take a picture next to it.

Strange Happenings.....

Several months ago, I was at a local shopping center and was showing my new truck to a friend. While talking to him and being distracted, someone I have never met walked up to the truck, opened the passenger door and got in. Upon asking what he was doing, he said, "just checking out this thing". He then got out and walked away without saying another thing. Took me twenty minutes to get my friend off the ground and to stop laughing. Only in California.

If so it's been growing for a while. Got mine in Jan 04 and had folks snapping pics everywhere I went.
