Okay eveyone,
Your help is needed with Sponge Bob. Apparently he is making a strange noise underneath. The sound is only when I give him some gas at start up. He has to be in gear and moving at low speeds. I went to the dealer and they hear it, but have no idea what the hell it is.
Any pointers would be appreciate :cuss d. I am a freak when it comes to noises. I even held on to my friends hand while he drove it down the street. Can't figure it out.
Also can anyone tell me whether the mirrors are supposed to all dim because the passanger side mirror does not dim. :yawn
I am really loving this vehicle more everyday.

I have a S-10 pickup I want to haul to Kansas City on a car trailer. Can the SSR carry that weight?

Thanks all!

I believe the passenger side view mirror does NOT dim.
Boy it has been soooo long since I have read my owners manual, I might have to make it a semi-annual thing so I don't forget stuff :)
Thanks Lookin4,
I figured that out when I read all the manual finally. I am still wonding about towing my truck behind on a class two trailer. I think it will be okay.
I still have that terrible noise I can't narrow down. Hopefully Chevrolet gets to the bottom of it soon.

Thanks All :seeya
G
something did not get inside 1 of your center wheel caps did it??? :confused  :lol :thumbs :flag :seeya
I wish!

Sounds really annoying for that sound.
Really cool though that GM called me back about the problem. Thay are sending a team to look at it on Monday!
Problems cured! Yee Haw!

Picked up SPonge Bob today. YeeHaw! They said that the airbox was making noise. Apparently the airbox is flemzy and with the hamster cage inside was causing the metal box too squeeeeek or wheez loudly. Stange thing to make such a noise! :leaving :flag

I feel so much better! They ever detail the truck for me and gave me a free oil change! Wow what a difference from last time I was there. :seeya
Glad the problem was found and fixed !! NOW go drive and enjoy SpongeBob
new problem

does anyone know what the small (1/4") nob is at the top of the passenger side window (inside) is and should it be connectted to the window? :leaving
Antennae connection

If you are talking about the small knob at the top of the windshield on the passenger side, it is the connection for your window antennae. It should definitely be attached to the windshield for your windshield antennae to work.
OK. What is the proper way to re-attach it. Super glue like the "rear view mirror" method?
Don't know

Don't know how it is attached. I would think a trip to the dealer would be the way to go.
It has to be conductive. We are talking about the metal knob and not the plastic cover on the connector, right?
