12Pack, there are lots of LED options out there for big bucks but I just buy a reel of the brightest I can find then I cut it to size and solder in the cables and connectors. It keeps my costs down to under $50. I know I make it sound easier than it actually is but it's a passion of mine so for me it's just fun. My brother, on the other hand, just pony's up the bucks and buys whatever is easier to install so he spends a couple hundred bucks for less light than mine put out. ;);)

Yea, Mike (Dragon2U) just cut out a front emblem, put lights inside. I added that while my truck is down (I bent up a wheel on these famous Georgia potholes) Mike also added lights on my cargo bar. I'll keep adding as a little at a time. Can't stand seeing it in garage tore down, got to drive it

@12Pack, sorry to hear she's got pot-hole damage. I didn't realized you guys got those so far south. We get some winners that can swallow up your front end but that's because of frost and our tax dollars going into pockets instead of infrastructure!:mad::mad::mad:. Hope you can find a wheel soon and get her out there.

I bought reels of lights for ours years ago, and put them under the running boards and in the grill and on the radiator cover. BUT---the UV, purple, lights are NOT near as bright as the Blue. So, the question is, how do you determine the brightness??!!?? The Blue's are 120 degree angle, but can't find the package for the UV.

Nick, LED technology is advancing by the day and the LED's I purchased 5 years ago are nothing compared to the ones I get now and I'm sure that'll be true going forward. I try to look for the brightness in lumens and the amount of LED's per inch. Both numbers should be as high as possible. The blue reel I purchased on 8/27/22 from Amazon are called "SUPERNIGHT Blue LED Light Waterproof IP65, 16.4ft 300leds 5050 SMD". These are the brightest I've purchased to date but I'll post better ones once I find them. Hope this helps.
