The Bose system senses when the top goes down, and turns on the "surround sound" tuner. You can still adjust the tone to get the prefference you want. Take a look through the owners manual to know more.
Let's say you are listening the the radio on preset 3 and the tone is set to DRIVER. If you press 3, it will stay on that station, but the tone will go back to the default. This is just some useless info. I am full of it.
I have been out of car audio since I was a kid. I have done a little research and visted an old friend that has owned his own stereo shop since 1985. He said that this might be the way to go.
Thanks Scott, I believe that is exactly what I am looking for. I really like the features of the 6 speaker Bose. But it sure is a pain to get to work right with a big amp and speaker combo. Edd
