Here we go, another "RALLY IN THE VALLEY" Maggie Valley North Carolina for the NEW Members!

For all the new members, Michael & Linda SSROE will be hosting the rally this year. Please stop us to say hello, we will be wearing BLUE LED name tags.
It will be held at the "Laurel Park INN" as always.
The dates are May 16-17-18 2019, the weekend after Mother Day & the Golden Spike Celebration.
For those of you that want to make hotel reservations.

The Laurel Park Inn-has Vacancies. Everyone that had a room last year will have the same room this year.

The Valley Inn across the street has rooms available at a good price.
Call 828-926-1240 for reservations. Be sure you tell them you are with the SSR Fanatics If you receive a recording, Leave a message, Andy or his assistant will call you back.

Three nights or more: $64 Two Doubles; $74 King; $84 King Suite
Two or less nights: $72.10 Two Doubles, $82.10 King, $92.10 King Suite

If you have already made reservations at a higher price call them and tell them what I posted, Per Beth; the owner.

We will have either a 50/50 or a 50/25/25 drawing depending on how many attend the rally. We have several items for Raffle, items not offered in the past drawings.

Thursday- 5 PM Meet & Greet - Laurel Park Inn Pavilion (aka “The Shed”). This will stay the same as always. Pizza, Chicken soda and water. Furykay will have his famous margaritas on hand also. A donation Bucket will be out for the tequila fund if you indulge in these. Also if anyone wants to bring an Appetizer that would be appreciated. Meet & Greet is free of charge (it is paid for with the banner raffle and any other raffled items, donated raffle items appreciated)

Friday morning if anyone wants to, we can go to the Senior Center.
If you want to donate items to the Seniors, they like lotion starlight mints (the hard candy red and white mints)
word search puzzle books Enquirer and Woman's World magazines self sharpening pencils paperback books
ponytail holders combs socks afghans/blankets. If you don't want to cruise the home, bring the items and give to Linda!

An announcement will be posted for a cruise for Friday morning. 9am to 2:ish pm

We will have a Tech Session Friday afternoon presented by Autoprof/Mark.
Mark will start a thread for sign up. Time will be from 3 to 5pm
The Session will consist of "How to test electrical components to determine what may be at fault" not replacing a part and hoping it fixes it because it is a common problem. The presentation will be centered around electrical only two main topics
1. Basic diagnostics - inside and outside with some hands-on demonstrations.
2. Informative section on how multiplexing works and some quick tests.

Unfortunately there will not be a Show & Shine on Saturday. The dealership is undergoing renovations and will not be able to accommodate us this year.


Swap Meet at the Convention Center front entrance 4:00

Our Banquet will be at 6:00 at the Convention Center.

This years Banquet will be $19 and consist of:

Fried Chicken
Carved Roast Beef
Boneless Pork Chops
Rice Pilaf
Roasted red bliss potatoes
Vegetable casserole
Green Beans Almondine
Individual salads on table with ranch and vinaigrette. Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, croutons
Rolls/butter
Dessert

After dinner we will have the Raffle, Auction, then the drawing for the $$$$ :grin2:

Good morning "Aug" this Rally in the Valley is held in beautiful Maggie Valley, North Carolina, just over the North Carolina state line (from Tennessee) at EXIT 16 off I-40, then about 5 or 6 miles into Maggie.

Beautiful country and a fun 3 Day event. Michael & Linda SSRoe are biker's too and with you living in Sturgis, South Dakota, I'm sure you all would have a lot in common. Also you will meet many SSRfanatics Guys & Gals whether you drive your SSR or ride your Harley. Take a week or 10 days off and come on down (Kansas City, St. Louis, Mt. Vernon, IL., Nashville, Knoxville, then Maggie) Michael & Linda will greet you with open arms. See Ya; there !!! :smile2: :smile2: :smile2:

My wife and I are looking forward to another great trip to the Valley.
Looking forward to seeing old friends and making some new ones.

My "Tech Lesson" should be a lot of fun and will definitely be informative. :lurk

Once Mike aka @ssroe has the time worked out with other scheduled events and confirmed with the conference center I will take over and start my own thread for this part of the event.

Made my reservations MONDAY at the conference center! -- I was told King rooms are getting scarce
I will have to call to get the better rate though!

There was a mistake on the room rates for the Maggie Valley Conference Center I just talked with the owner, she assured me that The correct rate is:
Three nights or more: $64 Two Doubles; $74 King; $84 King Suite
Two or less nights: $72.10 Two Doubles, $82.10 King, $92.10 King Suite


Anyone that made reservations and was over charged, PLEASE call back and have your rate changed!!
That money can go towards Raffle tickets :laugh:

We have gathered a few items from Members and Venders.

Once again the CRICKETS will be
jumping from the Jersey shore to the
NC mountains.
Arriving on the 15th. Reservations made
at mv inn. Looking forward since we had
to cancel last year!!!!!

Awsome. Thank you Mike and Linda, we are looking forward to seeing are old friends and making some new ones.
This will be our 13th Maggie and still our favorite rally.
Thanks to Danny and Gina for all the years of hard work and friendship.
You guys can relax a little more and enjoy.
Amy and I will be happy to help out when we get there.
