Does anyone know where I can buy a rear deck spoiler like the one on this SSR?

Not the arrow part.

It has that late 60's CAMARO look and I really like it alot

That is my favorite deck lid/tailgate spoiler also
Per an email I received from Kaminari this afternoon,

" Alton, We are currently building a new mold for that wing. It will take a couple of weeks to complete. Thanks"

Also note the following:

a) this is a hard mounted to the tail gate unit. It is not a double sided affixed unit. Please consider that.

b) Kaminari will only offer unpainted units. They will not paint them.

c ) they have not advised a price point at this time. I am working it.

If you interested in purchasing one, please reach out to me via conversation. I would like to
Kaminari updated to the potential number of forthcoming orders.

Thanks guys.

There are numerous discussions about spoilers on the forum including that particular one. It was designed by Eric, the owner of a company called MPD. Sadly Eric passed away a few years ago. His wife sold his plans (for his spoilers and other fiberglass parts) to Kaminari. They did reproduce some of his work and have been talking about reproducing that particular model spoiler for quite a while. There was plenty of interest at the time but most folks have given up and gone with something else by now. That's not to say that if and when they do make it, there won't be buyers. I've long wanted that one as well.

You can learn more using the search (top of every page). Here's a good thread to start with:

Post #38 has a number of photos of the various styles.

Best of luck!

Rich Morris @rich-uk has the spoiler available now.
There is a difference between the two Rich is over the tailgate and the quarter panels from pictures I have seen and the other one that Kaminari will produce is only over the tailgate not the quarters. So, if the pictures are right, they are not same.[/QUOTE]

Didn't want to start a new "spoiler" thread so piling on here. Has anyone seen this spoiler or know what it came off of???I came across it while looking at photos. It’s the best one I've seen personally.

Several SSRs have used the GTO Spoilers.

Look for 2004 to 2006 Pontiac GTO Spoilers: pontiac gto spoiler - Google Search

I believe that was a ZZR Spoiler modeled after the proposed ASC Spoiler if there was a 2007 SSR.

(Another View of the ASC Spoiler from many years ago: ASC Rear Spoiler)

The rear window on that yellow truck in the first post is also a ZZR creation.

ZZR long ago absconded with other SSR Owner's cash to parts unknown.

Hey guys / gals,

Its back. The 68 / 69 Z28 Camaro style spoiler is back at Kaminari and you can start placing orders at this time.

Here is the link :

I'm so excited this rear spoiler is back in production.
Big shout out to Pete of Kaminari for getting it back for us. His email address is following if ya have any questions or want to reach out and express your appreciation.

[email protected]

It came on line this evening and I have already ordered and paid for mine.

So I got to thinking, if we group the shipping to a single point, we could work out a group painting discount with a single painter. I.e. paint 4 or 5 yellows at the same time, etc etc. Then once painted, they can be shipped out painted to the individual buyers address. I have a FED EX Ground account we can use to ship on the second shipping stage.

Now, I do not know of any experienced SSR painters. That would have to be decided of course.

We could use Lonnie's Hot Rod Shop.
He is the fabricator that make the SSR tailgates with the old style CHEVROLET font imbedded into the tail gate like the one you see on the photo above. That would be good if anyone had a desire to do this modification to your tail bed.

What are your thoughts on this ideal?

In addition, the shipping rate on a single unit from Kaminari is $ 150.00 on top of the $ 395.00 purchase price. This is shipping to Houston.

Just a thought, if we reach out to Kaminari and ask them to place all the purchased spoilers in one big carton and ship to a single point paint shop, this could also reduce the 1st stage ( Kaminari to paint shop ) shipping cost.

As promised to Pete, I placed the first order tonight so he can see there is interest in this spoiler.

In closing, let me know what your thoughts are on a single point painter.

Have a great night.

I was going to order a front spear without the bow tie from Kaminari but they wanted $150 for shipping and that's crazy price even at today's high shipping prices. I might be interested in a group buy but like to see the mounting points of the spoiler and the condition.
I guess SSRBUDDY is the guinea pig on that sense you're the first to order one. On the single point shipping I have someone that would paint mine but if you get a good price on painting as a group might be worth it.

Another idea: if you can find someone that lives close to Kaminari and is going to the 2023 SSR International Rally, (pay whoever picking them up in advance) have them buy the spoilers from Kaminari. With all the different Fanatics going to the Rally from all over the country it might be cheaper to have them pick up the spoiler at the Rally. Then they can ship it when they get home to the person, or they can pick it from them and give them some gas money for picking it up instead of paying for a crazy shipping price.

Just throwing this out there
