Hello Fanatix,
I just bought an 05 this afternoon and just completed my first 100mph dash on the xway. Can anyone tell me how to defeat the three amber lights which shine onto the console from the rear view mirror? The manual talks about something that I cannot find or understand. Please assist. Thanks.

rear view mirror

Thanks, but I have pushed all the buttons that I can find. Pushing the Homlink buttons didn't help. It makes mention of pushing the "two outside mirror buttons" or something like that. I still don't get it. Distracting on the road at night with the amber lites.

The light that shines onto the console....

I got mine to go out by pushing the button on the mirror that is all the way to your right, but you have to hold down on the button for a few seconds. :seeya

turning mood light off

The button all the way to the right o the mirror turns your map lights on and off. Push it in and hold it. The map lights will come on. Keep holding until they go out, and the mood light will be off, too. Repeat this process to turn the mood light on again. Just push the button and release to turn the map lights on or off.

Thanks again!

Once again, Thanks...this forum is so neat. Drove my SSR for the first time after dark and this "mood light" was really bugging me. Couldn't figure out how to shut it off...did a search and bingo. Great to have this site!
